It is all very well going to the beauty salon for professional waxing. It is certainly easy, if somewhat painful, just to turn up and have your treatment, but you do pay a price for that convenience. If you find that the cost of having your legs or other parts of your body is mounting up, then you might like to think about waxing yourself at home. This has become very popular in recent years, as the cost of salon treatment has gone up quite a bit.
Once you have been to a salon for a waxing treatment, even if you have not had many, you know the routine and you will have a good idea how to wax yourself. It is only a case of choosing one of the home waxing kits that are available these days to get the equipment and supplies you need to wax yourself at home. You can even buy the same wax which the professionals use – GiGi wax- although you don’t have to as there are a number of trusted brands, including Veet and Nair, producing kits.
As long as your kit has all the supplies you need for waxing, you should have one easy purchase. Look for one which has a wax warmer, the wax itself, spatulas for application of the wax and cotton strips. The only thing you might consider buying separately, which is not included in many kits, is a wax removal lotion. This helps get rid of any sticky residue from your skin after you have finished waxing.
When waxing yourself, it is best to get used to the process by waxing and easily accessible and less sensitive part of your body such as your legs. Once you are skilled at waxing your legs you can then try other parts of your body, although you would need a friend to help if you want to wax your back.
