A well maintained snowboard will keep you riding at the maximum possible efficiency and one of the necessary parts to keeping your snowboard at its best is to tune it regularly. Although it sounds a little bit like what you might do with a piano, tuning a snowboard is, not surprisingly, a little bit different.
A well-tuned snowboard means that the board’s edges are kept razor sharp so they can carve through ice packed snow easily. You can buy a personal tuning file that you can run down the edges of your board at regular intervals. All boards need to be tuned and if you fail to do this you will find the board will be extremely difficult to control in firm conditions.
It doesn’t matter whether it is a Palmer snowboard for sale or a Burton board that you’re hiring, the requirement is the same. The edges have to be tuned for maximum performance efficiency.
