When you are starting or expanding your beekeeping operation you will need certain beekeeping equipment supplies to get take care of your bees correctly. Here is a short list (not exhaustive) of the essentials.
Bees. You can buy bees commercially, and many people find this to be an easier way to start their bee colony. You can also lure a swarm of bees, but this is not reccommended for beginners.
Bee hive. You need a honey producing bee hive. That almost always means a bee hive built on removable frames. These can either be Lansgstroth type hives or Top Bar hives. With either of these hives you can remove the extra honey without destroying the bees.
Beekeeper suit. This is an essential piece of equipment that will help you to not get stung – although a few stings are expected.
