It’s ironic that a tattoo removal kit is often referred to in its shorthand name as just “Wrecking Balm Tattoo“. Ironic because it’s obviously NOT a tattoo, it’s more like the anti-tattoo, as it’s sole purpose is to remove the tattoo ink from the surface layers of the skin, where the ink was inserted.

I’m not one prone to conspiracy theories, but I can’t for life of me figure out how this works, and I’m starting to entertain the idea that David Icke’s little green lizards are behind this product. (Kidding!)  Seriously though, does Wrecking Balm absorb the ink? Does it destroy it? Does it push it back into the body out of view?

Either way, I’m glad I didn’t let my inability to grasp how Wrecking Balm works with my desire to buy Wrecking Balm tattoo and apply it to my own skin. It’s only been about 5 weeks and I’ve still got nearly half of my Wrecking Balm tattoo fade kit left, and I can see significant results. I’m sure now that when I go in to get a cover up, this once very lively (but ugly and unwanted) tattoo will be faded enough that my tattoo artist will have no problem masking the remaining ink with a fabulous new tattoo.
