English witchcraft has a long history, yet many believe it to be non-existent. This has never been the case; although the missionaries certainly did everything they could to squash it. Witchcraft in England has always been part of the earliest of pagan religion on the British Isles, part of the spirituality that the earliest of men and women knew. Hardly squashed, Traditional Witchcraft thrives in Britain and it does in Germanic and English-speaking nations. It is part of our heritage. The use of magic is the use of energy. Energy is by nature constant; it never increases and never decreases. So the use of energy necessarily means the gathering of energy for direction to some goal. The use of energy is very much a spiritual act because energy is sacred.
