You may have heard the old saying “Inside every fat man is a skinny man waiting to get out”. Having had issues with my weight my entire life I find this to be fairly accurate. My twist on the saying is a little different. I like to say “When you lose the excess weight you are carrying, you will find yourself”. Some of us may be just fine with our current weight, but many of us are not. I’ve found, from personal experience, that the closer I get to being in shape the more of who I really am comes out in my life. It may be due to added confidence or just the lack of fear about my looks once I’m dropping the excess fat that has kept me bound. Sometimes it feels like I’m a butterfly coming out of a cocoon and experiencing a whole new world. So if you are finding that you don’t feel like who you are or who you believe you should be take a look at your health and see if you have lost yourself in excess weight. You may just find, like I did, that you can lose weight and find yourself.
