The art of observation can be a very useful tool, as it allows you to look and back and understand changes that have taken place over time, and to consider changes that will continue taking place in the future. Sometimes I just enjoy watching and seeing the patterns and trends that have taken place all over the world. Lately I have seen how computers, and laptops in particular, have changed the world through their own innovative changes.

Nearly everywhere I go, I see few who are not actively using laptops. Places such as coffee shops, restaurants, and even malls offer Wi-Fi access, often for free, so people come to them with their laptops to work or play, either because they do not want the expense of internet at home or have to be on the go and Wi-Fi makes their lives easier. This particular trend has helped to progress and connect the world on a global basis.

Another trend I have seen with laptops is that each person seems to have a laptop that more or less complements their personal style. I have seen a girls with pink hair carrying pink laptops and DJs with laptops covered in music and band emblems. In the past, you would never see people carrying a pink laptop. It was not yet the “thing to do,” and most laptops were pretty basic.

Constant observation allows one to notice and pick up on new trends. I’m very curious about the future of laptops to come. From the looks of it, their evolution will definitely involve fashion and designs as set by current trends, as well as changes and upgrades in technology. Each year, there are many brand new models and styles of laptops being offered on the market, taking consumers by surprise and offering them something new and different to buy. When you observe these things, you begin to understand, trends, people and the how and why of it all.
