Plastic bottles began to be produced when it was realized that they could be made faster and much safer than glass bottles. Plastic bottles are obviously more durable, and they come marked with ounce measurements (which glass bottles did not) to monitor the amount of milk that baby has consumed during a feeding. Also, this is so the amount put in can be determined, as this amount will change and increase as your baby grows. It is important to make sure that the bottles are made very clean after each feeding, so many people buy the ones with plastic liner inserts (also BPA free) to ensure sterilization. If you have a dishwasher, this is sufficient in thoroughly cleaning a standard bottle. You can read more about this at Baby Feeding Tips.

I have to begrudgingly admit a high degree of admiration for our cousins across the big pond, that’s to say, Americans. It’s a sweeping generalization but they do epitomise the “can do” attitude. One I was over there last the general attitude seemed to be “be the best you can be”. I mention this because it seems to me that America is the only nation who could fully embrace an invention like the double jogging stroller. While British parents are starring bleary eyed at their breakfast bowls, wondering how they will get through the day on so little sleep, our American neighbours are pounding round the park pushing their babies in front of them.
I didn’t do much exercise when I was single and young and I certainly can’t see myself doing it with two babies!
