Shopping for materials like this can be very time consuming. Personally, I would rather spend that time working on my roof and getting it done and out of the way!

Not to mention the fact that the wrong advice from just one person can create some very costly setbacks. If you are halfway computer literate, and have been surfing the net for as many years as your average consumer, this should be not much of a problem for you. I find adding the modifier ‘forum’ to searches helps me to find sites that are teeming with people who are enthusiasts of whatever your search query is. By paying attention to how other forum members defer to other members, as well as their status in the forum or the number of posts, you can easily begin to get a feel for who knows their stuff and who doesn’t. Granted this isn’t a fool proof method to getting good advice, it takes a little practise and time online to develop the knack for weeding out good information on online forums.
Shopping for roofing supplies online is a great way to save time and money. Even if you choose not to order shipments over the net for whatever reason be it shipping costs or whatever, simply doing some research before hand will save you loads of time and money. If you decide to buy from a retailer with a physical location nearby, you can always do your research ahead of time, order and then make your way over to the store. Once you begin shopping this way for large projects such as doing your roof, you will quickly become addicted to using the internet to make all kinds of purchases when you see how economical it is.
