Nintendo Wii has come out with another great game to play on the Wii with minimal accessories. As with many Wii games if you buy it and all the extra accessories needed are included with the game. The game is also geared towards the whole family. It has a great song track list and is easy enough for even the youngest member of the family to master with enough practice.
Rock Band 2 has several different types of game play within it and can provide literally hours of entertainment. With the special edition of this game, you can custom create your own band. The best part of this feature is that the characters that you create appear on stage when you play the songs. This feature is much improved over many older versions. The original game didn’t even have a create a character feature and this part of the game is sure to be fun for the whole family to create their own characters and then watch your character play the shows. The characters also can earn money off the gigs they play that lets them buy new things for their characters. Now game play in this version is a little bit different than the other games as well. You can play online against other bands or you can play offline by yourself. There are five different modes of game play: freestyle, training, band tour, solo tour, and challenge.
Each of these different modes give you several different ways to play and improve your skills. The special edition of Rock Band 2 comes with all the Wii accessories needed for the game. The best part about the special edition is that the Wii guitar, drums, and mic are all wireless. Nintendo is ahead of other gaming systems by having all of the controllers for this game to be wireless. Other systems charge extra for wireless controllers and for this system any one anywhere in the room can have a controller handed to them so they can play. This is an excellent accessory feature that makes this system and game all the more family friendly. The set list for this game is also excellent and much improved over the original game. It has everything on it from rock to pop songs and has songs that are sure to please the entire family.
Rock Band 2 is an excellent game from Nintendo Wii that is fun for the whole family. Even people who are not musically inclined will enjoy playing this fun, yet challenging game. It is slightly higher priced than many of the usual Nintendo games that you are used to, but well worth it in the end. Remember that this game includes all the necessary Wii accessories needed to immediately enjoy Rock Band 2.
