Nutrition and Exercising for Losing Weight Fast

When it comes to losing weight fast, there’s really only two things that are most important and those are nutrition and exercise.  You don’t need the weight loss pills, you don’t need the newest fad diet, and you don’t need that ridiculous machine that is advertised on those cheesy infomercials late at night.  If you can focus on exercising regularly and correctly, as well as eating right, then you’ll be well on your way to seeing weight loss results.

I use the word nutrition, because diet has many negative connotations.  You definitely will need to reduce the number of calories you are consuming each day, so definitely make sure you are tracking each and every calorie you take in.  You’ll also want to make sure you are eating more often.  It is recommended that you eat 6 times per day which is broken down in 3 meals (smaller than usual) and then 3 snacks between those meals.  This keeps your metabolism (the fat burning engine) going all day long.  It would be wise to stick to higher fiber foods, leaner cuts of meat, as well as fruits and vegetables, in order to help fill you up without going over your calories for the day.

While nutrition is important, if you’re really going to lose weight quickly, then you’ll have to be exercising too.  Running on a treadmill or outside just won’t cut it, and so you’ll need to make sure you are getting some weight training or other types of resistance training in.  Cardio is good for a warm up, but not for a full workout.  When you lift weights (or use another type of resistance) it builds up lean muscle mass, which helps your body in the fat burning process.  And the more fat you burn off your body, the better you will look and feel.

Nutrition plus exercise is the key component for any true weight loss system, so follow these tips, and you’ll definitely be looking great in no time!
