With people working in the shadow of the structure full time, it is vital that the building is safe. High temperature manufacturing, such as glass or metal fabrication, have a higher risk of fires. Metal has a very high melting point, so it is safer for this type of commercial use. Also explosions are a danger. Seemingly simple operations can result in one substance reacting with something else, and disaster!

Any time a metal building is being considered for commercial use, extra research, planning and engineering must be devoted to the project. Safety starts one company at a time, and one metal building at a time.
