Limited Partnership Law

Having a written partnership agreement is a good idea even though there is no written partnership agreement law in most states. Under the partnerships law the main thing that you need to be concerned with is liability. You and your partners are liable for anything that involves your partnership, including debts and liabilities according to partnership law. You are also liable for anything that involves your employees, if it involves something for work. For example, if your employee during business hours get involved in a car accident and was on a personal errand than the partnership is not responsible, but if they were doing something for the partnership you and your partner would be responsible. All of the partners are equally liable in the partnership unless it is a limited liability partnership; in that case, limited partnership law takes over.
