If you are already a fan of the outdoors or perhaps you simply don’t want to stay inside getting fat all winter then perhaps ice fishing would be a unique sport that you might like to try. Ice fishing has a bad rap among non-fishermen as being cold and miserable, exposed to the wind all day and just not a good time. This is ALL true if you let it be. If you are not prepared then it can be a miserable way to spend a day outside but that is what we want to discuss, being prepared to have a great day on the ice.

Many don’t realize how inexpensive and easy to use a simple ice fishing shelter can be. The modern day ice fishing shelter will fold easily, is very lightweight and easy to get out onto the ice and combined with a small gas heater, can make for a very comfortable day on the ice even in the harshest of conditions.
