Many people ask the question of, whether or not they need a neck pillow or some kind of support pillow. My response to that is to look and feel for yourself in order to see how your body feels. Do your muscles hurt when you sit down? Do you experience chronic neck pain of even the slightest degree? These are the questions you are going to want to ask in order to see if you truly do need a neck pillow.
The reason as to why I want you to figure this out is because bad posture is such a bad problem in today’s world that it needs to stop. Our world is not very friendly to the way our bodies want to naturally stand and sleep. The majority of pillows, beds, chairs do not help us out and they are in fact hurting our bodies without us even knowing it until that pain comes to us.
Sitting at computers for long periods of times without breaks is bad for your health and your posture. My advice for you is to start taking breaks and relaxing your muscles. Do a little bit of research online and see how the body is supposed to stand and sit.
Once you figure out the right type of information you can start implementing it. It is best to start off with timely reminders as your body will still be used to using its muscles in the wrong way. Every five minutes or so go over yourself and see if you are sitting up straight and make sure your muscles are not all tensed up.
Lastly, try going to the store and looking for the best neck pillow you can find. These pillows are very important for keeping good posture and being able to relax your muscles.
