Inground pools have a much greater affect on real estate prices in terms of improving them. They can be configured and customized in terms of shape and depth compared above ground swimming pools. And in terms of maintainance and cleaning costs, cost of chemicals and the overall cost of ownership, figerglass pools definitely beat out the competition.
The only issue with the cost comparison between the much higher up front costs of inground pools vs. the higher costs of ownership of above ground pools is that it takes about 10 years for them to equal out. So ask yourself how long you plan on owning the property and that will help you decide.
