A properly displayed music collection of compact discs and vinyl records can be a great addition to many homes or apartments, but you should always keep safety in mind before purchasing any new piece of furniture. Many of the standard CD storage towers you can buy at stores like Target and Wal-Mart actually can topple over very easily, especially once they are full of CD’s. The impact of this tower or multiple discs on a crawling baby’s head can be very severe and can even cause concussions. If you already have a CD tower or rack in your home make sure it is securely fastened to a wall or adjoin piece of furniture to keep it from falling over. Music collections are important, but baby safety should always come first.
