Depending on what source you consult Seoul, South Korea is somewhere between the second most populous city in the world and the 18th but really, who are we to quibble over a measly eight million person discrepancy? The bottom line is, there’s a metric crap ton of people living in this amazing city (almost half the population of South Korea) and it would be absolutely ridiculous if we were to leave “The Special City” out of any discussion about South Korea travel tips (especially since last year Seoul was named the most expensive Asian city to live in and the third most expensive city in the world). If you’re looking for cheap or free there are several world class parks scattered throughout the city. The most famous, of course, being the Seoul Olympic Park, a landmark built specifically to host the 1988 Olympic games that now features several museums, a sculpture park and plenty of outdoor activities! But don’t forget the over 100 other museums, most of which are easily accessible via a very impressive subway system that unites the entire city in an easy to navigate web.

Air Travel is one of the most fascinating experiences of a person’s life, especially the first time. The nervousness, the anxiety, the curiousity, etc. is worth the wait. However, the first step is to decide the location for travel and then book tickets for the same. There are several locations in US where one can travel by air and have a good vacation such as Los Angeles, Cincinatti, Florida, etc. Vacations have to be planned in advance and air tickets for the same can be booked in advance. This can be done online by logging on to any of the several online ticket booking sites and using american airlines promotional codes. Once, tickets are booked, the anxiety of the first time air travel takes over, which can only be overcome once you board the flight. During flight take off, one gets goose bumps in the stomach. One can feel the pinch till the flight becomes stable in the air after taking a turn or two way above the land and far away from the city. The seating is comfortable and you get quality food and drinks on flights. There are air hostesses who take good care of the passengers and also explain them the various safety measures to be taken in case of any emergencies. The view form the window of the flight is quite beautiful. At the start, one can see the city from which they take off and later on one can observe the clouds. The feeling is overwhelming. One is advised to tie the seat belts during flight take off and also while flight landing. One also gets to read magazines, newspapers, etc. on flight.

What is a repositioning cruise and why should you take one? It allows you to go to unique places and cover a large amount of territory at one time. For example, you could see huge portions of the caribbean, an entire coastline, or even go somewhere unusual like Greenland. You could even see a couple different continents just on one trip. Because these cruises have a purpose of covering as much ground as possible, it creates a relaxing type of vacation. This is not going to be one of those cruises where you are quickly going from one port to another for sightseeing. The main reason people opt for these though is the cost savings- the per-diem cost is typically much lower than a traditional cruise. If you are flexible and creative, you could get a great deal!

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the countryside here in the Languedoc Roussillon region of France changes from one season to another. It’s almost as if somebody just flips a switch and suddenly instead of blustery spring mornings summer arrives and you’re sweltering in the heat. For three months of the year it’s almost non stop sunshine and God help your garden if you don’t keep your plants watered. There’s a small lake in our village which turns into a mini beach as soon as the sun comes out. In fact the whole village just burst into life as the holiday season starts and all the second homeowners here rush back to take advantage of the great weather. The very nature of the place changes as your quiet existence is suddenly shattered, but in a good way.
