Although there have been some great games for the PC so far in 2009, so far this year hasn’t shown itself to be a truly standout year for the PC. There are, however, several games that still have yet to be released that could propel the category of Best PC Games 2009 up the charts a little bit.

StarCraft II looks to be an excellent sci-fi RTS game that will be released towards the end of the year. Left 4 Dead 2 is the follow-up to its successful predecessor. Champions Online may be one of the better releases for the pay-to-play MMORPG market. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 looks to keep up the pace of this wildly successful franchise. And, Borderlands promises to be a fairly successful first-person shooter as well. BioShock 2 was potentially scheduled for release in 2009, but it looks like we’ll have to wait till early 2010 before we can play this game.
